We are grateful to be included in the Art Van Charity Challenge, which is taking place this year from Tuesday, May 1 at 12:00 pm through Tuesday, May 22 at 1:59 pm. With only 14% of Detroit students reading at grade level by 3rd grade and the fact that schools will start to hold students back for this in the 2019-2020 academic year, this is our chance to come together as a movement for Kid Success Neighborhoods through collective giving.
We have been riding waves of enthusiasm, love and support that have been flowing since our October Fundraiser. We are engaged in bringing our fourth site in the Osborn neighborhood online and preparing for four more sites by the end of the year. While this, the 18,000 hours of programming, over 75 organizational partners and 2,400 participants give us immense hope for the future of Kid Success in Detroit, we know that the work is far from complete.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 by the end of the three weeks, and we are eligible for an additional prize of as much as $100,000, which is awarded based on the total dollars raised and the number of people who donate at least $10.

If you have yet to donate or were thinking of donating again, this will be the best time to do so. Please share far and wide and join us in demonstrating the power of neighbors to support neighbors, regardless of zip code. We love and appreciate you.
